ART in oral health service systems

Researching ART and glass-ionomers over the last two decades was necessary to understand the potential and limits of the individual components and their combination. Introduction of ART into oral health care service systems appears logical and justified, considering the positive evidence of the ART restorations, sealants, effects on patients and materials and methods.

Succesful ART implementation

In order to enable successful implementation of ART, various aspects of the local oral health system have to be known. To name a few: Availability of oral health personnel, the countries' health system and legislative system, local customs and attitudes, local infrastructure, the available budget and the potential to make required instruments and materials available when needed.
